If my AFP test is normal, normal or abnormal, do I need to take any other tests?
In case of chronic liver disease or damage, high AFP levels subject to disease are determined. If your AFP increases rapidly or is very high, your doctor will generally request examination of your liver through ultrasonic investigation, BT or MR screening. These screening operations may generally detect existing liver cancers. Your surgeon may also request des-gama carboxyl prothrombin (DCP) test in the blood sample helping to detect liver cancer.
