What is LTT Cellular Type Allergy Test?
Foods we take every day in time may generate cellular sensitivity in our body and cause to unwanted allergic reactions.
They may be a reason for common complaints of today such as indigestion, dyspepsy, intestinal problems, weight creep, headache, fatigue, weakness, arthralgia, skin rashes and depression for which we do not know the reasons. If no timely measures are taken, these disorders relating to the reaction of the immunity system may lead to rheumatic diseases and autoimmune diseases.

It is observed that the frequency of food sensitivity has increased 50% in society.

The reasons for this worrying situation are food additives, dyes, toxins, chemicals and metals that incept. In particular, when genetically allergic susceptibility and stress join these factors, the hypersensitivity reaction of the immune system to foods develops.
Another important function of the bowels besides food digestion and absorption is a defense system.

About 70% of the immune cells defending the body exist in the bowels. Also, the bowels are covered with a biofilm layer which comprises of constructive bacteria and acts as a barrier.

When the foods we incept are digested, useful foods, vitamins and minerals are absorbed from the bowels and foreign matters, toxins and microbes are removed and destroyed by the intestinal barrier and immunity cells. However, when the exposure to foreign matters is continued, after some time, the resistance of the intestinal barrier and immunity cells is broken, the bowels become hyperpermeable and the reaction of the immunity system is broken. In this situation called ‘hyperpermeable bowel syndrome’, the immunity cells give hyper reaction to many foods to which they use to tolerate previously, and also fails to block entry of foreign matters to the body.

Inflammation (an inflammatory reaction of the immunity system) develops in the bowels and then, the inflammation influences on the entire body and over time autoimmune diseases and rheumatic diseases develop.
What is LTT Cellular Type Allergy Test?
It is a scientifically proven safest diagnosis method which is applied for detection of food sensitivity. Developed by Immunologist Prof. Rüdiger von Baehr at Berlin SYNEVO-IMD laboratory, this method (LTT, Lymphocyte Transformation Test) is widely applied in diagnosis of cellular type allergy in Germany since 2000.

In the taken blood sample, the patient’s own immunity cells are separated and in the generated culture environment, the Type-IV allergic reaction (sensitivity) developed after contact with food is measured.
How to apply LTT Cellular Type Allergy Test?
  • The test is applied by taking a blood sample from the patient to special tubes.
  • No need to be with an empty stomach. Cortisone and anti-histamine type allergy medicines should be stopped 1 week before giving the blood sample.
  • Samples are taken until 12 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • The results are prepared in about 2 weeks.
